Tested Live [16 Jul 2008|11:46pm]

[ mood | contemplative ]

Does anyone know if there was ever a vinyl pressing of Tested? I'm trying to get all the BR albums on vinyl (almost there!) and was just wondering if that one ever got a pressing.

Does anyone know much about the Christmas e.p. Bad Religion released sometime in the mid-90's?  I'm trying to find a copy with no avail.

get a punk band on warped tour [15 Mar 2007|01:01am]

Just like every other band in the country right now...mine is looking for votes on our Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands page to get on warped tour.

If you're into fast skate punk type stuff like NOFX, Strung Out, Bigwig, Propagandhi, MxPx...etc then you can check out our shit at www.myspace.com/thedownandoutsri and if you like it then you can click the banner below to give us a vote.

If you choose to vote then don't forget to check your email for the confirmation message so you can confirm your vote.

Even if you didn't listen and you've got 3 spare minnutes...PLEASE just give us a vote. This would be huge for us. Thanks.

PS...I'm cross-posting this so if this isnt allowed in whatever community this is being read in then please delete it.

Anyone into Motion City Soundrack here? I thought some of you might be interested to know they are going to be on MTV TOMORROW night for the "10 Spot Drop". They're supposed to be interviewed and premiering the video for "Everything is Alright". I think the new video is up on the mtv site right now too, if you want to check it out before it's premired! Its really an awesome video! You can download the song for free on MTV.com too, plus they are supposed to have some free Motion City Soundrack ringtones and other stuff next week!
They are also supposed to be on Conan O'Brien on August 17. Plus they're Warped Tour right now and will be on the Nintendo Fusion Tour in the Fall!

I am shameless... look what I got today! [04 Aug 2005|06:20pm]

Like a rock, like a planet, like a fucking atom bomb,
I remain unperturbed by the joy and the madness that I encounter everywhere I turn,

I've seen it all before in book and magazines, like a twitch before dying, like a pornographic sea,
there's a flower behind the window, there's an ugly laughing man.
like a hummingbird in silence, like the blood on my door,

Who here is into Pennywise? I'm really just getting into them, so help me out! Has anyone heard anything about their new release 'The Fuse'? I just picked up one of their older cds and would like to get another one. I've read one review on it and it was said to be an amazing record!!! What do you think?

Hey guys, I thought some of you might be instrested in ringtones from Epitaph bands for your cell phone. I saw an ad for this a few days ago. "It works with most ATT, Cingular, and Tmobile service. Standard text messaging rates apply." All you have to do is send a text message to 73804 with the word "EPITAPH". I got a Time Bomb-Rancid and For Boston-Dropkick Murphys tone! They have a whole bunch of other bands too, you should check it out!

I just think a community based on this needs to exist.

Delete this if it's not allowed. I really don't care.

hello folks. i know the community is nearly dead, but hopefully, once again, we can try and bring it back. many issues have kept me from modding a community and i didnt really know anyone well enough to hand over the reigns, but I am back. so lets get the ball rolling here again, okay?

Did anyone pick up Greg's book? I understand it was his thesis, but was it watered down a little on the verbage for us laymen?

Let's bring this bastard back to life.

[ mood | say it ain't so! ]

so, maybe it's just the paranoia on the message board on badreligion.com rubbing off on me, but now i'm tripping out. can someone tell me for sure what the hell they're talking about with all these "greg's leaving/has already left/is on his way out of bad religion" comments? it's pissing me off royally. i read the article from seed, and i got the impression that greg's staying with the band but that none of them can keep doing it forever, and that writing and stuff wouldn't be a bad idea when they can't tour anymore. am i way off or something? someone let me know, please.

Just like everyone else in the community, I'm in love with BR... I started listening to them when I first hit high school, now I'm a freshman in college. They have been a big influence in my life. Good Times. By the way... Hi everyone, I'm Brandon from Kingsport, TN. I go to East Tennessee State University.

my warp tour experiance [11 Jul 2004|09:22pm]

[ mood | stoked ]

I love bad religion so freak'n much. warp tour at seaside park in ventura i sat through the vandals (who are awesome), coheed and cambria (eh), and one other band working my self front and center on the bar for bad religion. WHAT A FUCKING SHOW. i got beat up (as usual) but totally worth it. Bretts wife and daughter were there. And the whole time she kept making eye contact with me and mouthing "are you alright" and i just smiled and yelled louder. I asked ever guy on stage for the three hours before to get me the play list. by the time they came on i knew the stage hands by name. so i got the play list which i was totally stoked on. then after their set bretts wife came down and asked if i wanted something to drink and tossed me a bottle of water. some other guy caught it but she yelled at him to give it to me. so being the obsessive fan i am i've saved the can and framed the play list. just thought I'd share my awesome experiance from a girl who is just the biggest die hard fan of them. also hoping that someone knows bretts wife or could contact her and tell her thank you and that she made my life with that simple gesture. okay i'm done.

heya folks, your faithful mod here. since it would seem that Defining Bad Religion is down and won't get update until Bush becomes a democrat, let's define some songs here. If you have a particular idea about what a song means, let us in. we can discuss it. It will also make the community more active. activity is good.

Defining Bad Religion [19 Jun 2004|10:32pm]

[ mood | confused ]

Anyone know what's going on with the site Defining Bad Religion? I saw a link to it on the The Bad Religion Page. It's great to read people's interpretations of songs, but it hasn't been updated since sometime September of 2002. I've submitted posts, but I seriously doubt the site will be updated anytime soon. Does anyone know people affiliated with this site, who know what's going on?
